1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using ReliefOps ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.
2. Platform Purpose
ReliefOps is a humanitarian aid logistics platform designed to connect organizations, volunteers, and resources for disaster response and relief operations. The Platform facilitates:
- Matching of humanitarian aid needs with available supplies
- Coordination of transport and delivery solutions
- Building trusted networks among humanitarian actors
- Resource allocation and tracking for relief operations
3. User Responsibilities
Users of the Platform agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials
- Report any unauthorized use of their account
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Respect the privacy and rights of other users
- Not engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
4. Privacy and Data Protection
Our data collection and processing practices comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. Details are outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices as described therein.
5. Intellectual Property
The Platform's content, features, and functionality are owned by Benjamin Guibert and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6. Liability Limitations
ReliefOps provides the Platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Actions or omissions of Platform users
- Quality or safety of transported goods
- Accuracy of user-provided information
- Service interruptions or technical issues
- Any direct, indirect, or consequential damages
7. User Content
Users retain ownership of their content but grant ReliefOps a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute user content solely for the purpose of operating, developing, and improving the Platform. This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except where your content has been shared with others who have not deleted it.
8. Account Termination
ReliefOps reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from Platform use shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.
10. Ethical Principles
Users agree to uphold ReliefOps' ethical principles and guidelines in all platform activities:
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of aid recipients, local communities, and all humanitarian workers.
- Protect vulnerable populations beyond our platform who may be impacted by our operations.
- Safeguard user privacy through explicit consent protocols, secure data handling, and user-controlled information sharing.
- Ensure operational transparency while maintaining robust security measures for sensitive information.
- Maintain equal visibility and access to aid resources. Financial contributions will never affect matching priority or resource distribution.
- Foster trust through community reviews and endorsements with comprehensive safety protocols.
- Operate in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Violation of these principles may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
11. Changes to Terms
ReliefOps may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the Platform or via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account before the changes take effect.
